Standpipe Installation

The Standpipe is pre-assembled and tested ready for easy installation. A typical new installation would be as follows. Excavate the ground to a suitable depth, place the lower part of the tap stand over the water pipe, making sure it is at the correct height and level, then back fill with concrete. Calculate the length of incoming water pipe needed to enter the connection at the bottom of the standpipe and then position over the lower part that has been concreted in the ground and carefully lower the tap stand into position, making sure the water pipe is fully inserted into the connection. Fasten the tap stand together with the bolts provided.

Should you wish to stop unauthorised use the standpipe latches will accept your own padlock.

Also incorporated is a foam insulation pack to provide additional tap insulation.

Please ensure that the correct backflow arrangements are adequate for your particular installation.
